Stephanie A. Fox

Curious the Dragonfly just wants to feel good. The problem is good feelings seem to come and go for no reason. Curious has lots of ideas where the good feeling treasure might be hiding and sets off on an adventure to find it. After failing to find it at the beach, his friend's house, the supermarket, and the zoo, he is about to give up. Will he ever find it?

Meet Stephanie!

Stephanie is a former humanitarian and consultant, now dedicated to creating fun and thought-provoking books for the benefit of kids, parents, and teachers. Her interest in early childhood education and writing children’s books was inspired by personal insights about the human experience, her desire to end conflict and suffering, and her son, whom she refers to as her greatest teacher. Stephanie’s stories benefit from the input of little humans and draw upon their innate wisdom.

Stephanie’s international career has involved teaching kids in Spain, managing development projects in Angola, launching the United Nation’s educational satellite TV station in Gaza, and running a fellowship program for young change-makers in the Middle East.

She is also a certified transformative coach and yoga instructor who enjoys stoking her son’s belief that she just might be an Amazon warrior from the island of Themyscira.

  • Doing readings and discussion of Curious books with 4-8 year olds

  • Conducting leadership trainings with young adults

  • Giving keynotes at social entrepreneur conferences

These events are always fun, inspiring, and unlike what the audience has experienced before. Stephanie is based in Washington, DC and willing to travel.
